BismiLLehi Er-Rahmâni Er-Rahîm

Les Qouraichs avaient offert cent chameaux pour celui qui capturerait le Prophète Mouhammad (ﷺ). Cela avait incité beaucoup de gens à tenter leur chance, dont un certain Sourâqah Ibn Mâlik. Mais aveuglé par l’appât du gain, il continua tout de même sa traque. Une fois encore, le même accident survint, mais il n’y prêta pas attention ; il remonta en selle et galopa à une allure folle jusqu’à ce qu’il parvint presque à la hauteur du Prophète (ﷺ).

Le cœur de Aboû Bakr se mit à battre fortement et il cessa de regarder derrière lui tandis que le Prophète (ﷺ) continuait à réciter des versets Coraniques sans se soucier de cette arrivée inattendue. De nouveau, le cheval de Sourâqah s’effondra et ce dernier se rendit enfin compte qu’il s’agissait d’un signe d’Allâh, qui ne cessait de se répéter afin de le mettre en garde contre son projet néfaste à l’égard du Prophète (ﷺ). Il s’approcha alors du groupe tout repentant, demandant pardon au Prophète (ﷺ) en toute humilité. Il s’adressa au Prophète (ﷺ) en ces termes : Ton peuple a promis une récompense généreuse à quiconque te capturera. Il leur offrit des vives, mais ils déclinèrent son offre. L’Envoyé d’Allâh (ﷺ) lui demanda alors seulement d’égarer les polythéistes dans leurs recherches. Puis le Prophète (ﷺ) lui pardonna et lui confirma cela sur un morceau de parchemin par ‘Âmir Ibn Fouheirah. Sourâqah revint ensuite le plus vite possible à la Mecque et il s’efforça de brouiller les pistes des poursuivants de Mouhammad (ﷺ) et de ses Compagnons. L’ennemi juré s’était ainsi converti en un honnête croyant. [1]
