Il a été rapporté que ‘Omar embrassa la pierre et dit : « Je sais que tu n’es qu’une pierre et que tu ne peux ni apporter un profit ni provoquer une nuisance. Si je n’avais pas vu le Messager d’Allâh (ﷺ) t’embrasser, je ne l’aurais pas fait ». La pierre noire est-elle descendue du ciel ? Ou bien est-elle comme les autres pierres ? Pourquoi a-t-elle été posée à cet endroit-là ? Certaines personnes croient qu’elle marque le point vers lequel les Musulmans doivent s’orienter dans leur prière !
La pierre noire a ceci de particulier qu’Allâh ﷻ nous a légiféré le fait de l’embrasser ou la toucher. Il a voulu qu’elle soit placée dans un des angles de la Mecque vers laquelle nous nous orientons dans notre prière. Il a légiféré à ceux qui tournent autour de la Ka’bah de l’embrasser et de la toucher s’ils le peuvent. Dans le cas contraire, ils peuvent se contenter de faire un geste quand ils se trouvent devant elle et d’accompagner ce geste par le « takbîr » [Le fait de dire Allâh est Grand]. Il est dit dans un hadîth rapporté par Et-Tirmidhî et d’autres qu’elle est descendue du paradis. Mais sa chaîne de transmission est faible. [1] [2]
